Property description: The Galvan Ranch Headquarters Pasture is considered the best trophy deer producer on the 57,000+ acre ranch and is known for harvesting 160-180 B&C bucks, along with a few 190's in the last 14 years. The previous leaseholder had this lease for 14 years and along with the ranch biologist, they managed the property and grew big mature bucks. The quality of our deer are well known throughout South Texas and lease hunters from other Galvan pastures are requesting to move to our lease. With the biologists and our lease members help, our plan is to improve this pasture to be one of the top low fence trophy buck producers in the state of Texas. The Galvan HQ Pasture is14 miles due west of Encinal, Texas putting it right in the heart of the Golden Triangle. With a MLDIII status and year round access, the property has 11 tanks and 2 tanks near the camp are stocked with bass. Each lease member will have their very own ~700 acre area where they are allowed to harvest 1 trophy, 2 or more management deer based off our biologist recommendations, 2 does plus doves, ducks and varmints. A trophy is 7 1/2 year old greater than 150 B&C. Because there are very few 8 pt deer or less on this pasture, the mgmt. buck criteria is minimum 5 1/2 year old, 149 B&C or less, 10 point or less, The lease is guest friendly and your guests can shoot off your tags. I'm bringing a few customers and my family, so having a secure camp is a big deal to me. There's a 24/7 manned guard gate within 1/4 of a mile of our camp and the ranch manager live next to our house along with 2 other neighboring deer lease groups with RV camps very close by. We have a furnished 7 bedroom cinder block house and cold storage available along with electricity and water hook ups for RV's. Deer blinds, protein feeders and feed will need to be provided by each hunter. UTV's and trucks are allowed on the ranch, however ATV's are not allowed. You can drive a car to the camp area and there is shelter available to store your UTV's and trucks. The number 1 criteria on this lease is for each lease member to have fun.
