Overview

Registration Instructions

  1. Before attempting to register, put "hunt.texas@tpwd.texas.gov" in your email's address book or contact list.
  2. The "New Users Start Here" link will take you to the registration page.
  3. Read the Terms and Conditions
  4. Check the box
  5. Create a user ID (not your real name) and password
  6. Enter your valid email address
  7. After submitting this form, you will receive an email from "do not reply webserver<nobody@prodweb.tpwd.state.tx.us>"
  8. Check your email
  9. Click on the link in your email to return to Hunt Texas Online Connection and confirm your email address.
  10. Go to the "Home/Login" page and log in.

A registered landowner can:

  1. Make a new lease listing on an existing property, or
    1. Make new property listing, and
    2. Make lease listing on that property
  2. Delete lease listings
    1. Select the menu item "Edit or Delete Lease Listings"
    2. Find the lease you want to delete.
    3. Press the Delete button.
  3. Edit lease listings
    1. Select the menu item "Edit or Delete Lease Listings"
    2. Click on ranch name to edit details of lease
    3. Press the Submit button to change details of lease
  4. Edit a property description
  5. Delete a property listing
    (All leases associated with that property are automatically deleted first.)
  6. Contact a hunter
    This can be done anonymously through the "Contact Hunter or Landowner" page.
    1. In the To: box insert a valid User ID of the hunter, from his email message to you.
    2. In the Subject: box enter the Ranch Name that the hunter inquired about. If you have multiple leases on a ranch, give the hunter enough detail to know which lease you're talking about.
    3. Fill out the Message box.
  7. Anything a hunter can do.

The registered hunter can:

  1. Search through lease listings
    • Use as many or as few search items as you like
    • The more items are checked, the smaller the list
    • The smaller the list, the more specific to your needs
  2. Contact a landowner
    • This can be done through the "All Lease Listings" page or the "Contact Hunter or Landowner" page.
    • To contact a landowner from the "All Lease Listings" page
      1. Select a Ranch Name to view details of a lease, including the Lease ID. The "Lease Details" page will allow you to contact the landowner.
      2. Fill out the message box.
    • To contact a landowner from the "Contact Hunter or Landowner" page
      1. In the To: box insert a valid User ID that is found on the "All Lease Listings" page.
      2. In the Subject: box insert a Ranch Name and Lease ID found on the "All Lease Listings" page.
      3. Fill out the message box.
  3. Change password. After you are logged in, you may change your password to something more to your liking.
  4. Reset password - a new password will be sent to you.
    • After clicking the [RESET PASSWORD] button, you will be sent an email containing a machine-generated password.
    • You may copy and paste this password into the login form on the "Home/Login" page.
    • After you're logged in, you may want to change your password to something shorter and more memorable.
